My name is Ashley Crews and I am your Protective Styles and Wellness Coach. I started doing hair at age 9 and I was my very first client. I then went on to style my sisters and mom's hair where I became well known in my community (due to my mom word of mouth marketing) I built a consistent clientele by way of travel styling in Harlem, NY. I launched Hairventionz in 2014 as a convenience to serve my clients at their convenient location. Since then, I have served thousands of clients to date.

I have been featured in many publications such as HYPE Hair Magazine, Mizz CEO, YAHOO style and beauty, ALURE magazine. Seen on, Dr. Oz show, Stylist for Shea Moisture, Black Women Talk Tech, NYFW, Aunt Jackies, TressNoire , panelist with The Good Hair Tribe and more. I also took classes to perfect my work over the years and I am a Certified Natural Hair Care Stylist, Hair Coach and Regimen Setting Consultant. I also am a Certified Health Education Specialist & Nutritional Therapist holding degrees BS in Health and Physical Education and MA in Health & Wellness.

My motto is “Hair is my Passion, Health is my Life”. I always educate my clients about the importance of health for healthy hair & body in my styling sessions.

With my freelance work, classes and products combined, I have made thousands of dollars but now I am dedicated to share my journey, my learnings, my experiences with you on how you can also start out just learning the simple techniques to styling hair for your clients, family, or yourself. The beauty industry is a billion dollar industry with so many avenues to get involved in and it’s a blessing to be a part of it. You CAN too!
