Ashley Crews (aka Faith-Led Hair Coach) started doing hair at age 9 where she was her very first client. She then went on to style her sisters and mom hair building her hair styling skills and confidence, specializing in protective styles. Her mom who was very pleased with her work, became her word of mouth marketer telling everyone in sight about her daughters hair styling skills and from there she was able to build and maintain a consistent clientele by age 13 as a traveling hairstylist in Harlem, NY. She now has over 27 years of experience styling hair and 12yrs as the HairVentionZ brand traveling hairstylist. 

Since then, she has served thousands of clients to date.

She has been featured in many publications such as HYPE Hair Magazine, Mizz CEO, YAHOO style and beauty, ALURE magazine, Seen on, Dr. oz show, Stylist for Shea Moisture, Black Women Talk Tech, NYFW, Aunt Jackies, TressNoire and more.

She also took classes to perfect her work over the years and is a Certified Natural Hair Care Stylist and Regimen Setting Consultant and now a Faith-Led Hair Care Coach where she is helping moms and stylists heal crowns through holistic hair care, God's word and proper protective hair styling. 

She also is a Certified Health Education Specialist holding degrees BS in Health and Physical Education and MA in Health & Wellness. She is a Mom, an Author, Mentor, and CEO of her hair and body brand NyRose Naturals. 

Her motto is “Hair is my Passion, Health is my Life”. She always educates her clients about the importance of health for healthy hair & body in her styling sessions.

All of this didn't happen in a day. It was a long, lonely journey that needed extreme grit and determination.

But now she is dedicated to share her journey, her learnings, and her experiences to show you how you can also start out just learning the simple techniques to styling hair for your clients, family, or yourself. The beauty industry is a billion dollar industry, it’s a blessing to be apart of it and You CAN too!
